Get compensation from the airline if you were delayed or your flight was cancelled.

You may be able to get compensation if your flight to or from Israel was delayed or the flight was cancelled at the last minute, says Asher Rotbaum, an Israeli lawyer who specializes in this kind of work.  Recently he worked on a case where a flight from Asia was rerouted to Etria for 14 hours! The plane broke down and had to land there.   The passengers were offered a hotel, but it was 15 kilometers away, and if the replacement flight  would have come when the passengers were at the hotel, they would have missed the plane back to Tel Aviv.  As you can see it was a mess.

It is a good idea if there are lots of people on the plane to have everyone on the flight sign up because then you will have a stronger case and everyone can get the same compensation from the airline.
