In Business you have to be on time. If you are late for an appointment then it is very embarrassing and you may lose out. So, how do most people know the time? Nowadays they have been using their smartphones. There are advantages and disadvantages to this.
Advantages: You have not only the time and date, but also all your other data on the phone.
Disadvantages: You have to take the phone out and turn it on, or touch the screen or move to a different screen in order to get the time.
So, it is much faster to just have a watch on your arm. But this doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg! Who needs a watch? Well, teachers for one thing. As a teacher, I cannot be always looking at the phone, and touching the screen while I am teaching in front of a classroom full of students.
Many people have turned to watches as a fashion statement. A friend of mine who dives maybe once a year has invested in 5 diving watches. Does he use them when he dives? Of course, but the diving watch is a statement of who he is and it supports his self image. So he forks out at least $500 per watch.
Many investors are seeing the light of owning watches. These are what the Investors are saying about watch companies.
