Do you really have to yell?

Causes of anger

Why do people get angry?  Usually anger is a secondary emotion. The first emotion is sadness, or something disappointing happened to you.  The anger comes later when the primary emotion gets too frustrating and it needs an outlet.  Anger is the outlet that most people use to get noticed by other people.

Why anger?

Other people use anger to get compliance from others.  This can work for a while, but the long term effects are often that the other people draw away from the chronically angry person.  No one wants to be yelled at for every little thing.  The angry person is left alone, and then the person is known as the complainer who never gets visits or phone calls from others.

Effects of anger

Usually the angry person is not aware of the full effects of always being angry on other people, as well as, on himself.  There are many physical problems that can be caused by being angry, high blood pressure, headaches, and the list goes on.

How can you prevent getting angry?

The best way to prevent getting angry is to use anger management techniques.  Whenever you feel frustrated, know that anger may not be far away, So, take a deep breath, count to 10.  If you are in a situation that you can take a break, then go for a short 10 minute walk. If you can't get away, then learn techniques like Reiki, or EFT to calm down.  You can go to a NLP Master or Practitioner, and learn how to anchor positive emotions instead of angry ones.    Use a daily emotions journal in which you write the situations in which you usually get angry, and in the journal, write the situation, what happened, and most importantly, write the proper response that you should have done instead of getting angry.

I bless you that if you follow these steps, then anger will be in your past and not in your present or future.
