בימים אלו כאשר חיל ורעדה יאחזון בארצות הברית מפני רוח ה', פנו לרבינו מיקירי העיר לייקוואד, מה חובתינו להתחזק לקראת הסערה הגדולה המאיימת על מדינתינו?
השיב רבינו"להתחזק בשמירת השבת!"
וכשנשאל באיזה פרט בעיקר, אמר "בענין טלטול"
ופירש דבריו שהרבה פעמים מטלטלים ברחובות העיר בלי לבדוק אם יש עירוב כדין, ויש לבדוק היטיב את הדברים.
וסיים בברכה "שלא יארע נזק לשום יהודי"
