How to get control over your time and your life.

We all have the same number of hours in a day.  Have you ever had time just slip away from you?  At the end of the day, do you wonder what you have done?  What happened to those 24 hours?  If you are like most people, 7 or 8  you need to sleep, 8 or so you work, and then you have the other 7-8 hours to yourself.

I want to use those 8 hours that I have free to really accomplish my life goals, don't you?  
Set a goal each day to accomplish. It doesn't have to be a long term goal, and it can be a small goal that helps you move forwards.

If you are a teacher in a classroom, then a goal could be to grade those papers that have been piling up.
If you are a real estate agent, then it could be calling back all those clients who called when you were in the middle of something else.
If you are a student, then it could be to read that book that you need to write a report about.
There are many small goals that help you work toward the big ones.
Pick a task that is doable in a short amount of time.

There are three simple questions that you can ask yourself when you are doing a task.

1. Am I in the right place?
2. Is this the right time to be doing this task?
3. Am I doing this task in the most efficient way?

If you constantly ask yourself these three questions, and answer them yes, then you are moving toward your goals.
If you answer no to one of the questions, then figure out what you could change so that you can answer yes to the question.
