There should be self defense classes, free of charge for all men, women and children in Israel.  Just like new immigrants get free Ulpan classes to learn the language, so we should be given the tools to protect ourselves against attackers!  Call, e-mail your favorite representative in the Knesset, this is the time, this is the place.

I bet that if there would be an attacker, and he got hit by multiple sprays of Red Pepper Spray then he would be down for the count, about 45 minutes and it would give time for the victims to get away.

Let's not be the next one killed,  I would rather be the one who got away!

Enough is Enough! Civil Defense is needed NOW

I have had it with the Israeli public being sitting ducks for stabbings, shootings and terrorists activities.  If everyone were to take self-defense classes, women, children, old people and even Haredim, then the Arabs would not think of attacking us.  We need a national effort to help Israeli citizens defend themselves.  We need to learn how not be forced into cars, how to fend off an attacker with a knife, and how to push away attackers with metal rods.

We need national self-defense classes to be given in every school, for all school children, teachers and staff.  These classes have to be taught in every community, and yes, separate classes for men and women if they request it.  How to use the Hot Pepper spray, to disarm an attacker, how to disarm an attacker with a knife or other object, and general self defense.

You never know if you will need these skills, but as the events of the past year have shown, it is now necessary. Yes it will be expensive, but if every Arab knows that all the Jews are able to defend themselves, they won't want to tangle with us anymore.  Deterrent is very powerful.  Why should the Jews be lambs for the slaughter?

If the government won't fund these classes, then we have to take matters into our own hands and start classes by ourselves.  Why not the manufactures of Hot Pepper Spray offer a class if not free, but then at a low price to teach how to use it?

We need to have self-defense classes for all Jewish citizens. Classes should be given in schools, for kids of all ages, then in each neighborhood for adults. We should be taught how to fight off an attacker with knives, how to not be forced into cars Use of pepper spray should be mandatory for all citizens against attackers. The Arabs are attacking citizens and it is time that we fight back!

Notebook Wars Saga

As you might know, I am not much of a gamer on the computer, or smartphone, but this game is really worth it.  If you are waiting someplace and can keep an eye out for the bus, this is the game for you. Even my kitten likes to see the action!

This is a new game that you can play on your notebook computer.  The difference is that the play scrolls down and that makes it very exciting.

The  hand-drawn graphics are very nice and the peach color is very pleasing to the eye. There are 15 huge  levels to play, Seven different war planes, Twenty-two awesome weapons to upgrade, Easy to play, but challenging to master.

The Admin is very responsive, they answer back the user questions and may use the suggestions to update the game.  New features in the works include Cloud Save, new environments, and boss fights.

Israel treats Ismail Hanayia's family in top notch Israeli hospitals.

Ismail Hanayia's family enjoys top of the line care like all other patients in Israeli hospitals.  This news has been all over the Israeli media.  This is the man who is the head of Hamas, the terrorist organization which has been at war with Israel for a long time.  He wants to wipe Israel off the map.  He started the month long war this past summer!

Why does he have to send his family to Israel for treatment?  Aren't there hospitals in Gaza?  Oh, I forgot, they were used as terrorist outposts to shoot and store rockets.  So, there are other places he can send his family to?  Yes, 22 other countries who speak Arabic, and have fine facilities to treat sick patients.  I'm sure he would be able to get his daughter to Jordan, Kuwait,  and even Qatar have hospitals.

What is Israel thinking?  This man's family should have no right to receive medical care in Israel!
What is he going to do next?  Check himself into Kfar Shaul? ( a mental hospital in Jerusalem)

Learn Biblical Hebrew!

Hebrew is a rewarding language, with it you can visit Israel and speak with Israelis from all over the world.  My husband who is visiting in Belgium for a while, told me that he often hears Hebrew on the street even there!

This verse is very interesting.  When you read a translation into English, you don't get the full impact of Kish's words.  Here is a literal translation of the verse:  And were lost the female donkeys that belonged to Kish, the father of Shaul; and he said Kish to his son Shaul, Take (command)- please, rise up (command) with you one of the young men, and get up (command) go(command) seek (command) the female donkeys.


A number of questions arise when we read the verse literally from the Hebrew.
Why did Kish have to command Shaul so many times?
Is this a foreshadowing of what is going to happen later after Shaul is already king?
Why are these donkeys so important?
How did they get lost?
Did someone take them?
Who is the servant that Shaul takes with him?

Keep these questions in mind as we continue reading this chapter.

Now, how do we translate this verse?

(empty)

Questions to think about:
What did David do?
What was his intention?
How did Michal feel about what he did?
How can we know how she feels?
What is strange about this verse? There are a few unusual wordings in the verse. List them.
Why is the root גלה  used so many times and in so many different forms?
