Breathing correctly can help improve your health!!

I did a Natural Breathing session with Dr. David Komfei (from Russia) (53-272-0667) speaks Russian and quite good Hebrew by the way.  It was an interestig session, full of different kinds of breathing, mostly fast breathing for 2.5 hours, on a Friday morning!!   It was emotional and exhausting!

This got me interested in other types of breathing exercises that are a bit more natural and involve less emotional overtones.  First there is the Buteyko that has many different kinds of breathing exercises:

I happen to like this one for beginners

Another way to improve your breathing is to play this specially designed Harmonica called the Pulmonica

Here is a song that I did using this Pulmonica:

One way to test your oxygen level is to do this first thing in the morning:  Set your clock app to seconds and then sit or lie down on your side, breathe in and out a few times with the nose normally, and then on the last breath, breathe out through your nose, and close your nostrals gently with your hand and count the seconds.  I can do about 25 seconds before I have to take a breath  as of today.  I could have waited some more but then I would have had to cough or something, so just wait until it becomes a little bit uncomfortable.

Track your progress every morning and see if you can increase the time before you have to take a breath.  Maybe this can be an early warning if you are beginning to get sick before serious symptoms occur.  At this stage the sickness can be warded off with natural means, as drinking more orange juice or eating garlic.

You can be that I will be doing this every day too!

I also offer music lessons on the Pulmonica as well as the Clarinet, Flute, Saxophone and well it is not a wind instrument, but the guitar.  All the wind instruments also teach good breathing so if you can practice a half hour a day playing music, you have your breathing exercise as well as gaining profiecency in music!

The best way to get ahold of me usually is by What'App: +972587500608.   On-line lessons via Zoom or Skype for Pulmonica also available. Affordable and fun!!
