The first inkling that I got this evening of a doctors strike was in one of my Yahoogroup. A woman is scheduled to undergo surgery tomorrow and now it will be postphoned until after Succot!!!!
Then, as a good journalist, I tried to check the sources. Arutz 7 doesn't report on it, but the Jerusalem Post does. But. . . you really have to look for it. Don't worry, I did the work and here is the link

What does this mean practically? Well if you have a clinic appointment, you should call ahead of time to make sure that the doctor will be there, and then make a new appointment that will probably be in a couple of months. . .
If you have Ultrasounds or CTs or MRI's call also, It is best to be safe than sorry.
I agree with Laniado which doesn't allow strikes! There should be other ways to solve worker disputes.
