You and the Law of Attraction

The Law of Attraction works every time.  Whether you know about the Law of Attraction or not.  You bring to your experience what you are thinking and feeling about.

There is a story that a man when to a sage.  He asked the sage how to succeed.  The sage gave him advice about sales, marketing (this is a story remember?) and then at the end the sage blessed the man that he would succeed with his next venture enormously.  The man was very pleased and on the way home on the freeway five different cars cut him off and he had to swerve and really do defensive driving to avoid getting into an accident.  The first time, he took it in stride, the second swerve he started to get a bit annoyed, the third time he shook his fist at the other driver, the fourth time he yelled at the other driver (it didn't an effect on the other driver because his car windows were closed) and by the fifth time the man's blood pressure was almost to the bursting point!  When he got home he was so angry that he banged open the front door, and his wife was calmly washing the dishes.  The man threw some books that were on the table, and yelled at his wife.  She was not about to be a stupid mouse and yelled back.  So the man had a very successful yelling fight with his wife.  He brought into his house what he was thinking and feeling.   The sage was right.

Does this happen to you?  Do you take unrelated events and then dump them on the people you love?  When you come home from a bad day, yes the people in your house want to console you and help you, but to come home in a rage just drives them away. Nobody wants to be around an angry person.  To be angry at someone who didn't cause the upsetting situation is not helpful to anyone.  What would I have done about the five dangerous drivers?  Well, I would realize that each one had no idea that he was in a chain of events. Yes, people are bad drivers, or they are in a hurry to get where they are going and they don't care about other drivers.  Why let it bother me?  Does it help me to yell at other drivers on the road?  Not a bit.  They don't hear you, in fact it brings your anger to the surface even more.  It makes you a dangerous driver!

Before meeting anyone, always imagine the other person, and what that person would feel if you came into the house angry.  Is it helpful?  Does it bring good feelings into the relationship?  If you are angry all the time, then you need to work on yourself.  Nobody but you makes you angry.  Events are just events, and have no emotional content but what you bring to the table.  This is where NLP can help.  If you are angry most of the time, then you are bringing more situations to be angry about.  Think how much more successful you could be if you brought successful situations into your life.  Let go of the anger and let success come in. Stop complaining and use that energy to do positive steps each day.
