US Citizens abroad - vote for president in 2012!

Dear friends,

If you have ever lived in the United States,
are now over 18 years old, and
still hold US citizenship, then you are
eligible to vote for federal offices
(President, Senate, Congress) in next year's elections.

Requesting an absentee ballot is easy.

to find the form
you need. Print it out, fill it out and sign it.

Then, mail it to your county election office.
The county in which you last
resided, in the US, is considered your
county for voting purposes.

NOTE: Most election offices are organized
by county. However, each NYC
borough has its own office,
as well as the city of Chicago.

To find the correct address for your
county board of elections, follow this
link <http://www.fvap.gov/shortcuts/wheresendfpca.html
If you don't
remember the name of the county, you can
also look it up on this page by zip
code.

If you have NEVER lived in the US -
but you are the child of US citizens,
are over 18, and hold US citizenship -
in some cases, you may also be
eligible to vote.

Check here <http://www.fvap.gov/reference/nvr-res.html>
to see if your
parent's home state allows you to vote.

One request should suffice for both the
primaries and the general election
in November. You will likely receive a
postcard from your county board of
elections confirming receipt of your ballot
request. (This may take several
weeks).

If you have any questions, email me

Please forward this message to other US citizens abroad,
as well as email
groups that cater to US citizens abroad.

Many states will be holding presidential primaries as
early as January and
February, 2012. Take a few minutes now to request
your ballot, and exercise
your right to vote!
