Starting soon, Aliza will be your tour
guide in "A Tour of a Miracle," all about
the wonder of the human body. Come and learn:
What is blood?  What is anemia?
What do white blood cells do?  How can you see
what is going on in your body by
carefully reading blood tests?  This
used to be a one session workshop that, due
to positive feedback and a request for
more information, has been expanded
into a four part series where you will
also learn about liver enzymes, kidney
function, thyroid, and blood chemistry.
You can easily learn if a health problem
involves infection, anemia, or simple
dehydration just by a quick look at the
numbers. This class is a must for all
alternative health practitioners, and also
for lay people who are interested in
knowing about how to decipher their blood
tests. The initial session which is
bout red and white blood cells (some of you
have taken it already) will be on Tuesday,
May 24 at 5:30 pm while the rest of
the sessions will be on three Mondays:
May 30, June 6, and 13 at 7:00 pm.  Come
and learn about the miracle that you ae
living with everyday: your body and how
it works.

We are waiting for a few more women to
register in order to begin Aliza's
well-known Doula(labor coaching)Course
which is not only very informative, but
also lots of fun.  Please be in touch
asap if you would like to join us and let
us know when you are available. Upon
successful completion of the course, you
will be certified as a
doula in Israel and in the US.

After "Tour of a Miracle" is finished,
on two Tuesday evenings (June 21 and June
28) Aliza will be teaching "Chinese Medicine
and Tongue Assessment."  According
to Chinese Medicine, your tongue tells
a whole story about your health. Disease
is explained by an imbalance of yin and
yang in the body, and these imbalances
have an impact on the tongue's appearance.
In this mini-workshop you will learn
how to diagnose possible imbalances in
your body by looking at tongue color,
shape, and type of coating.

Starting in July, Aliza plans to offer a new
course which will give you a solid
basis of western medical knowledge and how it
connects with the Chinese Medicine
viewpoint. The first few months will be covering
topics that are relevant for
anyone who is already practicing or interested
in practicing in any medical or
alternative care related field.  These classes
will be both fascinating and fun
-- and you will walk out knowing that you
are a responsible health care
professional, better able to choose more helpful
treatments for your clients .

Either concurrent to the above course or
directly after it finishes (around the
chagim), Aliza will begin teaching "Basic
Chinese Medicine."  The final
scheduling will depend on the registrants,
so let us know how your summer is
shaping up so that we can finalize plans.

We are starting a Practicum program very soon
, so be in touch if you are
interested in having an apprenticeship with Aliza.

As always, Aliza is available to help you with
any health concern you may have.
