Dvar Torah Vayikra

If a leader has sinned ..., Leviticus 4,22.

Our greatest leader, Moshe our Holy Master, made it clear that his position
was of Divine origin, to quell the rebellion of Korach. Yet when there was a
question of Law he misinterpreted, Moshe did not hesitate to admit that he
was in error ( Leviticus 10,20, Rashi ).

In the Talmud there are many instances when Jewish leaders defended the
authority of their position, but had no difficulty admitting when they were
in error.
We should therefore have no hesitancy about admitting when we are wrong.

In the recent revolt in the Islamic World, we can see that Muslim dictators
who stepped down and recognized their mistakes, like in Egypt and Tunisia,
are less dangerous than the dictators in Libya and Iran, who are ready to
kill their own people with tanks and planes.

By the way, about Purim, did you notice that the Guematria of Mahmud

(Ahmadinadjad or Abbas) is 92 if you spell it Mem-Het-Mem-Daleth, 40-8-40-4.
And the Guematria of Aman, who is hanged at the end of the Megillah? If you
write Aman Alef-Mem-Alef-Nun, 1-40-1-50, you will see that Aman is the same
than Mahmud !!!
