Dvar Torah - Parshas Pekudei

Dvar Torah - Parshas Pekudei

This week’s parsha discusses the finishing works of the Mishkan.  Rashi points out on the pasuk when bnei yisroel bring all the material to Moshe that is what Moshe himself who actually erected it.  Rashi says,  Hashem said Moshe make as if you are dealing with it construction…and instantaneously the Mishkan rouse of itself.

The Lubavitcher Rebbe says we learn from this that we as Jews must prepare the mishkan within and around us to our fullest potential. By struggling to keep Torah and mitzvahs we create for G-d a dwelling place in His lowest realm, the physical world. However, no matter how complete our work is and how wise of heart and experts we are in our construction for G-d in this world, we still need the Moshe Rabbenei of the generation to actually complete the process and drawn down the Divine Presence into the world.

Thank G-d we are not alone.
