Charlie Birger, Jewish gang boss was executed  in the last public execution held 
in Illinois on April 19th 1928
His  real name was  Shachna Itzik Birger   .
Charlie Birger is buried in Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery in University City, a 
suburb of St. Louis, Missouri.
