I confess. I own up. I got a traffic violation ticket last week . I'm a criminal, although I haven't quite joined the ranks of Jesse James and Tom Dooley. Still ,this has been a lesson to me and I'm doing penance. This is the first of two, or maybe three programs about criminals and their punishments, or their fate. I would like to have called it "Cops and Robbers", except that I couldn't find much music about cops. Folk songs seem to prefer robbers as their heroes.
