This is a right handed world! Yes it is true! After slipping in a pothole last week, Jan. 13, 2019, I realize how different it must be for people who are left handed. Little things and some big things area more difficult if you can only use the left hand.
One biggie is typing. I wrote a book that is on Amazon about how to touch type, with both hands, but typing one hand is usually hunt and peck and the look up very few letters and correct all the pesky red underlines!
Did you know that most handrails are only on the right side when you are going up acd down stairs?
This is also a PROBLEM!
I am learning that there are limits to what I can do, but there are ways of getting around the limitations. Last week I could put on my boots, but not take them off by myself. But now I can use both feet to get them off.
Some people are nice and want to help me, There was a lady on the 23 bus who moved over to let me sit down, but when she wanted to get off, I moved over to the side, she raised her voice, not so nice, no matter.
You find out who are your real friends and who are just acquaintances. Who will really help and those who will say they will help but never follow up.
