#BringBackOurBoys June 25 results so far.

#BringBackOurboys, June 25 2014  27 Sivan 5774

There is still no major breakthrough in the search for the missing boys,  Gilad Sha'ar (16), Naftali Frenkel (16), and Eyal Yifrah (19).  The mothers went to the UN commission,  UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

Rachel Fraenkel implores the world to do more to bring back her son Naftali, as well as Gil-Ad and Eyal. "Innocent children should not be used as instruments in a struggle."

To date, over 1800 houses were searched, 57  terrorists who were let out during the Gilad Shalit deal were recaptured and now have to serve out the rest of their sentences.  Over 300 Hamas terrorists were brought in.

That is a lot for the IDF to have done, they are operation on the assumption that the boys are still alive and that there are still clues to be uncovered.  There are many reservists who request to be put on this duty to help find the children, but most of them have to be turned down.

The petition drive is still going strong, if you don't cry out against this and any other kidnappings, then you are part of the problem.  Everyone must make their voice heard and make sure that terrorists do not have the last word and are defeated.

Sign now, you don't have to donate money, just a few minutes of your time.

A look from the past! Rachael demonstrating in 2000

Rachael demonstrating in the year 2000.

This picture was taken when I was with the Zionist Book Club headed by David Perkins. We were out demonstrating in the year 2000against Ehud Barak's government.  We made a lot of noise during his weekly cabinet meeting. Every week we were in the Rose Garden, saying Psalms, listening to speeches and making noise.  People say that demonstrations don't have an effect, but I think that we annoyed Barak.  His government didn't last long and we made our voice heard.

In today's situation, if you don't make your voice heard, then you are one of the ones who agree with the kidnapping of children who were coming home from school to become political pawns.  Is that right?  Is it ethical? Would an Arab woman want her son to be abducted?  I would venture to say no. As Abbas says " We are human too."

Start to act like it, residents of Ramallah.   Enter the human race and protest! Show the world that you don't agree! Because if you stay silent, then you actually do agree with kidnapping.  If you complain that  you can't get to your jobs and that there are roadblocks, and security checks, know that we do this for a reason.  We don't want to get blown up.  We are protecting ourselves against violence that is directed against Israeli civilians by Arab terrorists.   Show the world that you don't agree with terrorism.  That you are part of the civilized human race.

It is not a lot but if we can work together and get 1,000,000 signatures it might make a difference

#BringBackOurBoys the Search Continues

By Rachael Alice Orbach

The search continues for the kidnapped boys, "Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his wife Sarah met the parents of Eyal Yifrah (19), Naftali Frenkel (16), and Gilad Sha'ar (16) on Friday at the Prime Minister's Residence in Jerusalem." Arutz 7 reports.

It is difficult to get business back to normal because of the emotional anguish that the people of Israel are undergoing because of the kidnapping of the three teens that occurred on June 12th. Since then there has been an ongoing operation to find the boys.

The Netanyahu government is blaming Hamas, and the PA with Abbas at its head is flip-flopping on supporting the search and obstructing it.

The search is concentrating in Hebron and the surrounding areas, and there have been arrests  of terrorists who were let out in the negotiations that went into the resolution of the Gilead Shalit kidnapping.  These murderers are now back in jail for violating the terms of their release.

In order to make your opinion known there are many petitions that are circulating on Facebook and other social networks.  Here is one that you can easily sign.

Text of the petition:

#Bring Back Our Boys! We the undersigned, understand the sanctity of human life. Three boys ages 16-19 were brutally kidnapped by Hamas and the PA. They have not taken any official steps to help find the boys and return back home from the school year and instead of seeing their families, they were forcibly put into a car, their cellphones taken from them and now we have not heard anything from the boys themselves.

These boys are our sons, brothers and nephews. They need to be home. They are not to be used as political pawns. They are at the beginning of their lives. Let them grow up and contribute to society. This can only happen if they are returned home.
We demand that that the PA find the boys and return them to their families without conditions. It is the humanitarian thing to do. Human life is sacred. Respect it.

Open Office, or Closed Office: That is the Question!

When you are designing  or redesigning your corporate work space, you need to keep in mind a few factors.

How well do you know your workforce?  Are they for the most part, extroverts who need to have the input of others in order to come up with new ideas?  Are they introverts, who need privacy?

How well do you work in an Open Space environment?
How much natural light does your office get?
Do you think that affects the work pace?
Do your employees tend to get more work done in the morning or afternoon? Why is that?
What colors is the corporate environment painted?
Does that affect the productivity?

How much work do you expect your employees to get done in a day?
How can you measure the amount of work done?

If you change your work space environment will you get better productivity?

The answers to some of these questions you might be able to find at this link: http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2014-06-16/open-plan-offices-for-people-who-hate-open-plan-offices#r=hpt-ls

Biblical Hebrew in use during the Diaspora

The Rabbis throughout the long Diaspora spoke and wrote in Hebrew.  They also researched grammar rules and studied the vocabulary.  Many times in Rashi's commentary he translates a Biblical Hebrew word into the vernacular, in his case Old French, so that readers of the text would know what they were reading.  The Brown Drivers Briggs although a good reference, was not written by the Rabbis and sometimes you have to look the words up in another dictionary.  I have a copy of the Chumash that has the Biblical Hebrew on one side and a modern Hebrew translation on the other side of the page.  This is the book that is taught in Israeli schools and it is more accurate and up to date.  תנ"ך רם   is the title.  Hebrew has been spoken and used for thousands of years without interruption.  When Eliezer Ben Yehuda wanted to make Hebrew up to date, he used the Bible, and added modern words for things that didn't exist in the Bible. Other people added more words.   Ice Cream is a new word, as well as computer.  Some words are based on other languages, גלידה comes from Italian Glace, but the word computer comes from the word חושב to think.

The word for Electricity חשמל for example comes from a very spiritual word that is only used rarely in the Bible  in the text it describes a type of fire, in the famous vision of Ezekiel, Ben Yehuda didn't know that this word would become a household word.

Touch-up in between Hair color appointments?

If you have a Job Interview coming up, or another important occasion, you still want to look your best.  Since you should only get your hair colored every six weeks or so, what do you do when the roots start to show and you have a Job Interview?

There is a way that you can deal with this situation.

Use a color mousse styling! You can put it exactly where you want it, and it comes in different colors so you can match your hair color!

This can help you combat the "Age discrimination"  with your looks. If you look younger with darker hair, you will give a better impression at that Job Interview.  I suggest that you experiment with the mousse a few times before so that you know exactly where to put it and how it will look.  Don't leave everything for the last minute as you will be too nervous and that will ruin all your hard work.

Of course, you can schedule a touch-up appointment a few days before to have the color exactly perfect.
