For the last ten years Chaim Layeled  has been making a 3 week summer medical
camp in the Swiss Alps for children in Israel with cystic fibrosis. It is no
small feat to haul along  over10 tens of kosher food and medical equipment -
with a medical team in case of emergency.

The children return home without the need to be hooked up to breathing for s
period of weeks and even months. What a physical and psychological boost for
them and their families in their ongoing battle for survival.


The number of applicants has more than doubled over the past year from 30 to 75.

The cost to send one child is $3000.  To whom can we say NO.


To the children who live from one camp to the next it means the world. It means
knowing they truly matter

Your posture has a large influence not only on

your physical appearance but also
on how your body functions. Poor posture leads to

imbalances that cause your
muscles to work more to counteract gravity's pull 

and fatigue quicker. When your
body is properly aligned, it is well-balanced

with minimum stress and strain on
the bones, ligaments and muscles. Less energy

is required for movement with good
posture, increasing energy efficiency and function…

… A postural assessment
is an important first step in the design of a 

client's exercise program. At
Anatomically Correct, a unique postural 

assessment screen is used to view your
posture from all angles.

How Do You Stand Up? Your body should be aligned 

equally side-to-side and
back-to-front. When your body is in balance,

it requires less effort to stay
erect whereas unequal alignment results in more wear

and tear on your body. With
better postural alignment, you will not only look

younger , you will move better
too.

Over time, poor posture causes muscle weakness

or tightness . Below are three
examples of common faulty postures and their

associated muscle tightness and/or
weakness.

In Lordosis , the pelvis is tilted forward, 

creating an excessive curve in the
low back, caused by weak abdominals and tight

hip flexors, often a result of too
much sitting.

The Kyphosis posture, with the rounded back and

\ forward head and shoulders
position, can also be caused by too much time 

spent sitting, for example,
hunched over a computer keyboard.

In Sway Back posture, the pelvis is displaced

forward and the low back loses its
natural curve and flattens, often leading to low back pain.

Bad posture and muscular imbalance is the

primary cause of most muscle and joint
pain. Restoring muscle balance to improve

functional movement, by stretching
tight muscles and strengthening weak muscles

can relieve pain symptoms. Regular
exercises are essential for pain management and stability.

Some tips to enjoy Chol HaMoed:

1. Give yourself time early in the morning while everyone else is sleeping late.  Do what you like to do,.
2. Schedule time for the family, but leave some unscheduled time for yourself.
3. Smile and enjoy the holiday!  It only lasts a week!!

The Nachalot Gonif is back!

The Nachlaot Gonif is back.  This time he struck during the Pesach Seder!  He came in when the tenants were  celebrating their personal Exodus from Slavery!   He helped himself to new dresses hats and wallets.

What is this world coming to?  That families can't even be away from their homes for the Seder?
 If you have money problems, people, you can go to many Gemachs, to borrow money.  Don't steal from
innocent families! 

This has got to stop!
There is no justification for this terrible behavior!
The Land of Israel spits out people like this!

Parsha Arahei Mos.

In this weeks Parsha the Torah emphasizes that G-d spoke to Moshe after the death of the two sons of Aharon. Rashi Hakadosh cites the thought of Rabbi Eliezer ben Azarya that the fact that this speech happened after the death of the sons is analogous to an ill person who was visited by a physician.

The doctor was visiting different patients. One was dying and was hopeless. The doctor told the nurse to give him whatever he wanted to eat, wine, meat, good food. Then when he was visiting another patient who was slightly ill he prescribe a very strict diet, with several medicines.

Then they asked : Doctor why the patient who is very sick has all the food he wants and no medication, while the other patient has a strict regime?

And the doctor said: the second patient has more chances to live so I gave him more medication and a diet. The same is for G_d and the people of Israel. G-d gave to the people of Israel many Laws and Mitsvot and also a strict diet, Kashrut. Because G-d wants the people of Israel to live forever.

1. Set up a schedule what you will clean each day.   If you don't get to it, don't feel down in the dumps.  Give yourself a reward when you do reach your personal daily goal. 

2.Make a menu for what you are going to eat for the last few days before the Chag. Buy for those meals, keep a space for Chumitz cooking, until you are going to changeover your kitchen

3. Make a list for your Holidays needs, buy your list.

4. Most important of all, when you are at last ready for the Seder, give thanks to Hashem, for the Holiday of Freedom and let yourself enjoy the Seder!
